In 2006, I moved to Barrie to live with my fiance on his family farm which dates back to the 1800's. We both enjoy riding and training our horses and taking them with us on extended road trips throughout North America. I have always enjoyed photography and the art of photographing the human form.

I have a Master of Arts Degree in Humanities. My personal experiences and training as a clinical therapist have taught me that how we picture our physical selves and how we believe others see us can dramatically effect how we feel about ourselves. My discovery of "therapeutic photography" was like a dream come true! Working as a Photographer fulfills my personal desire to positively enhance the lives of others while tapping into my creative senses and artistic talents plus the flexibility to take time off to travel.

In 2010 I decided to open my own studio featuring my photography and therapeutic services as well as the services of other local professional women in the fields of contemporary and traditional arts. Rural Reflections Studio is a place for personal reflection and creative exploration through learning and play.

I have an easy-going nature and connect with people quickly. I am a spiritual person but not in a religious sense. I believe our ability for self-awareness and self-discovery is different for everyone. In my therapeutic sessions I encourage honesty and exploring the powers of positive thinking. I strongly adhere to the professional ethics of client confidentiality.

Make-up artist and hair stylist, Michelle Pope, who also works at Blondies Hair Studio in Barrie, freelances for the majority of our clients and many have become her regular customers.
